“Free college” has become a rallying cry for politicians across the country — and not just on the left. Our relatively conservative neighbor, Tennessee, was among the first to implement such a program, with seemingly promising results.

Other states, however, have been less fortunate. Oregon had to cut back its funding for the program due to financial problems, while Maryland reports that outcomes aren’t yet clear.

Before this idea of “free college” takes hold in Georgia, perhaps we ought to be asking ourselves some serious questions.”
